Structural Family Therapy and Family Problems We Treat
This therapeutic approach revolves around the belief that a client's
emotional difficulties stem from troubled, often difficult relationships
with other members of the family.
Therapists meet with the family and assess how they interact and,
consequently, how they affect each other. The therapist then guides the
family towards understanding how they can change and improve their
interactions with each individual member of their family.
Healing results for the individual client as the entire family starts
to function in a more positive and empathetic way towards each other.
