Jamie earned her Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Alvernia University. She works with the presenting problems of depression, anxiety, women’s issues, grief, chronic mental illness and emotional dysregulation in teen through older adult clients. Her areas of specialty include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the use of Personal Medicine and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP). Jamie is interested in using creative expression techniques to aid in client recovery. She has also completed training in assisting individuals impacted by domestic violence and those receiving hospice care. Prior to coming to Family Guidance Center, Jamie has spent the last ten years in various types of therapeutic settings including inpatient, partial hospitalization, skilled nursing facilities, residential and outpatient. Her previous roles include that of case manager, psychiatric technician, group therapist, activities therapist, individual and DBT therapist.
